Fall Classes to Begin soon

Can you believe how fast the weather has changed? The mornings are cool now and I need to wear a hoodie to walk our dog at 6am. This must mean fall and basket making are just around the corner, and they are! Join us at Duxbury Art Association Wednesday evenings 6:30- 9pm. If you are new to this construction technique we suggest starting with a bread basket. If you are experienced think about making a tote or a bike basket

Made with cherry wood. Mould designed by me large enough to hold our cockapoo!

I spend months happily teaching others the art of Nantucket Basket Weaving and then take the summer off to work on my own! The recent 4th of July weekend offered me 2 full days to complete 3 of my baskets. I’m looking forward to riding my bike around town with my completed bike basket on the handlebars! Woohoo!

Our Fall DAA Nantucket basket classes are winding down for the year. Our weavers have created mini-totes, 10-inch totes, small bread baskets and large bread baskets, dog biscuit baskets, and Easter baskets. Visit us at facebook- Bug Light Baksets, and see our photo albums there!
We’ll be back weaving away and teaching in March!
Happy Holidays one and all and see you next year!
